Fibrated Foundation Coating
DESCRIPTION
505 SEALMASTIC fibrated foundation coating is an asphalt-based, cutback type, fibrated dampproofing coating.
USES
505 SEALMASTIC fibrated foundation coating is designed to be used for dampproofing and waterproofing masonry and concrete walls and for dampproofing and waterproofing concrete floors.

COVERAGE
Coverage is 0.39 – 0.74 m2/L (16 – 30 ft.2/gal.) depending on porosity of the surface.
SHELF LIFE
When stored indoors in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 4° – 32° C, optimum performance and best use is obtained within two years of date of manufacture.

APPLICATION
Surface Preparation … Surface shall be firm and free from loose particles, cracks, grease, oil, and other foreign matter. Surface must be free from frost, snow, and ice.
Application Method … At temperatures below 4o C, use a prime coat of 600 ASPHALT PRIMER from W. R. MEADOWS applied at a minimum rate of 4.1 m2/L (200 ft.2/U.S. gal.). Apply by spray or brush at least one coat of 505 SEALMASTIC. Protect cured application from damage by using PROTECTION COURSE (VIBRAFLEX® PC) and MEL-DRAIN™ from W. R. MEADOWS.
PRECAUTIONS
If there is excessive hydrostatic pressure on the surface, a more complete waterproofing specification must be used. Consult a technical representative for further assistance. If material has thickened due to low temperatures, leave the containers in a heated building overnight. Do not heat with an open flame. Contains flammable solvents. Keep away from heat and open flames. Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid use where solvent odours are objectionable
