W. R. MEADOWS has proudly served the Canadian construction industry for 70 years through its dedicated Canadian division, W. R. MEADOWS of CANADA. On September 1st, 1954, we took a major step in expanding service to the Canadian market with the opening of our Milton, Ontario location—formed through a partnership with Purves Protecto Products in Toronto. This milestone marked the birth of W. R. MEADOWS of Canada, LTD. Our commitment to service led to further growth in 1961 with the establishment of our first Western Canada location. Today, the Milton branch remains a vibrant hub, instrumental to our nationwide success.

Our Milton, ON location, situated at 70 Hannant Court, functions as the central hub for Canadian operations. This facility houses administration, sales, customer service, and warehousing, supporting a wide range of construction product solutions across the country.

In 2003, W. R. MEADOWS expanded its Canadian footprint with the acquisition of ELSRO Asphalt, leading to the opening of a second facility in St. Albert, Alberta—now operating as our Sherwood Park location. Located at 21 Streambank Avenue, W. R. MEADOWS of Western Canada serves as a key manufacturing and distribution centre for the western provinces.

Our commitment to innovation was further reinforced in 2022 with the acquisition of Gemite Products Inc., a Mississauga, Ontario-based manufacturer of advanced building material technologies. With more than 30 years of expertise in waterproofing and restoration technologies, Gemite has strengthened our R&D capabilities and expanded our high-performance product offerings.

Co-founders W. R. “Bob” Meadows and Edna Meadows established a direction and philosophy for the company that continues to shape its growth and progress today.

Bob and Edna’s son Harry Meadows began his 76-year association with W. R. MEADOWS in 1941. When his father passed in 1957, he took the leadership reins and never looked back.

Continuity is the secret of our company leadership and success.”
