Safety Spheres Glass Beads

DESCRIPTION
Retroreflective pavement markings deliver continuous roadway guidance to drivers and have been proven to increase highway safety. SAFETY SHERES provide cost-effective nighttime roadway delineation.

SAFETY SPHERES are high durable and consistent in quality and composition. Strict quality control produces truly round spheres that optimize retroreflectivity. Proprietary coatings are available to resist agglomeration, ensure flotation for ideal embedment and improve adhesion for greater durability.

USES
SAFETY SPHERES may be applied as a drop-on in all commercial binder materials, including waterborne & solvent paint, epoxy, polyester, thermoplastic, PMMA and polyurea.

Size: 20-80 mesh (850-150 microns); a range of sizes off-sets the effects of traffic and binder degradation

Complies with Alberta Transportation Specification for Pavement Markings.

APPLICATION…

To ensure optimum retroreflective performance and durability, the bead/binder system needs to be applied in the proper manner:

Apply the spheres immediately following the binder application. Apply spheres evenly over the width and length of the marking. Embed the spheres to a level of 60%. Apply SAFETY SPHERES at the rate of: 2.72-3.63 kgs (6-8 lbs) per 3.78L (1 gal.) of Latex 9.07-10.89 kgs (20-24 lbs) per 3.78L (1 gal) of epoxy.
