When applied on freshly placed concrete surfaces, the product forms a tough, uniform, moisture-retentive film for simultaneous curing and sealing. SEAL CURE\/25 meets the 350 g\/L VOC limit for concrete curing compounds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USES<\/strong><br \/>\nSEAL CURE\/25 is ideal for curing and sealing newly placed concrete, vertical or horizontal applications, when a high solids and high water retentive seal, yielding superior curing efficiency, is desired.<\/p>\n<p>SEAL CURE\/25 is suitable for commercial and industrial applications such as sidewalks, patios, driveways, and multi-level parking decks. It provides a durable finish that increases resistance to chemicals, oils, grease, de-icing salts, and abrasion.<\/p>\n<p>For interior applications, specify and apply <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/vocomp-20-concrete-curing-sealing-compound\/\">VOCOMP<sub>\u00ae<\/sub>-20<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/vocomp-25-concrete-curing-sealing-compound\/\">VOCOMP-25<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/vocomp-30-concrete-curing-sealing-compound\/\">VOCOMP-30<\/a> curing and sealing compound from W. R. MEADOWS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FEATURES\/BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Non-yellowing.<\/li>\n<li>Permeable film allows moisture in cured concrete to evaporate.<\/li>\n<li>Can be used on coloured\/decorative concrete.<\/li>\n<li>Retains mix water in concrete to permit complete hydration of the cement paste for hard, dense concrete.<\/li>\n<li>Helps minimize hair-checking, thermal cracking, dusting, and other defects.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent moisture retention properties.<\/li>\n<li>Can be recoated after thorough cleaning of the existing surface.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PACKAGING<\/strong><br \/>\n18.9 litre pails, 205 litre drums<\/p>\n<p><strong>COVERAGE<\/strong><br \/>\n7.35 \u2013 14.7 m\u00b2 per litre (300 \u2013 600 ft.\u00b2\/U.S. gallon)<br \/>\nCoverage is approximate and depends on the porosity of<br \/>\nthe surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ASTM C 309, Type 1, Class A &amp; B<\/li>\n<li>ASTM C 1315 Type 1, Class A<\/li>\n<li>AASHTO M 148, Type 1, Class B<\/li>\n<li>Complies with Canada VOC Concentration Limits for Architectural Coatings Regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Surface Preparation \u2026 <\/strong>Apply as soon as all surface water has disappeared and the concrete surface will not be marred by walking workers. Surface to receive sealer must be dry and free of contaminants. Remove all stains or discolourations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method \u2026 <\/strong>Apply using low-pressure sprayer. An 80\u00b0 fan pattern spray tip rated at 1.8 L (1.0 gpm) provides an excellent even coating. Please contact sprayer manufacturer to ensure suitability of sprayer with product.<\/p>\n<p>Product should not be applied during high temperature conditions in direct sunlight. These conditions cause rapid evaporation, which does not allow the film to form properly. Under these conditions, the film may peel, bubble, and\/or turn white (blush).<\/p>\n<p>Apply product as soon as all surface water has disappeared and the concrete surface will not be marred by walking workmen. Apply evenly over entire surface; avoid puddling in low areas. Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours. Twelve hours is preferred.<\/p>\n<p>Product should not be applied to concrete containing excessive moisture. Entrapped moisture in a solvent-based sealer may cause the film to peel and\/or turn white (blush).<\/p>\n<p>Additional coats may be applied once a previous coat has dried.<\/p>\n<p>For optimum protection, apply a further coating of the product and\/or apply a coating of HIAC<sub>\u2122<\/sub>, or HIAC-PLUS Note: Concrete must be a minimum of seven days old prior to the application of HIAC or HIAC-PLUS.<\/p>\n<p>Note: In cases when product is applied to existing concrete surfaces (more than 28 days old), the variations in colouration of the sands and aggregate present in the existing surface may be enhanced, causing the surface to appear discoloured.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drying Time \u2026 <\/strong>Product dries quickly. Drying times may be extended depending on application rate, temperature, humidity, and project conditions. Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours. Twelve hours is preferable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleanup \u2026 <\/strong>Clean tools after use with a solvent such as SEALTIGHT SOLVENT, xylene, or toluol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECAUTIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nFor industrial use only. Apply without dilution or thinning VOC content of the product. FOR EXTERIOR APPLICATION ONLY. Surfaces treated with SEAL CURE\/25 may become slippery under certain conditions. SEAL CURE\/25 should not be applied during high temperature conditions in direct sunlight. These conditions cause rapid evaporation, which does not allow the film to form properly. Under these conditions, the film may peel, bubble and\/or turn white (blush).<\/p>\n<p>Do not apply SEAL CURE\/25 if the temperature of the concrete is below 4\u00ba C (40\u00ba F). SEAL CURE\/25 may be used on coloured concrete, but mottling may occur. Do not use on dense or non-porous surfaces, i.e. brick, stone, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Concrete containing calcium chloride will remain dark longer when treated with SEAL CURE\/25. Concrete floors properly cured with SEAL CURE\/25 meet section 8.9 &#8220;Adhesion of Tile Cements&#8221; of ASTM C 1315. For other specifications, secure the approval of the paint or resilient flooring manufacturer before applying SEAL CURE\/25. The specifier and used shall determine the suitability of product for specific applications and assume all responsibility in connection therewith<\/p>\n<p>SEAL CURE\/25 is a membrane-forming sealer. All membrane-forming sealers may darken concrete or magnify imperfections caused by variations in the porosity and\/or finishing of the concrete.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HEALTH AND SAFETY<\/strong><br \/>\nContains solvent. Use with adequate ventilation and avoid prolonged breathing of vapours that may cause dizziness or suffocation. Avoid contact with skin and\/or eyes.
