It also provides improved weather and stain resistance, combined with a dustproof sealer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USES<\/strong><br \/>\nHIAC-PLUS can be used on driveways, patios, loading docks, swimming pool areas, and exposed aggregate, as well as any exterior surface where protection and sealing of concrete is desired (dries to a\u00a0 medium high sheen).<\/p>\n<p>HIAC-PLUS offers improved resistance to rain, sun, freezing temperatures, stains, oil, grease, de-icing salts, cleaning agents (except aromatic solvents), and caustics, as well as airborne soot, dust, and other pollutants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FEATURES\/BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Permeable film allows moisture in cured concrete to evaporate.<\/li>\n<li>High acrylic content for positive weatherproofing, stainproofing, and dustproofing qualities.<\/li>\n<li>Provides a clear, tough, easy-to-clean film, which improves abrasion and stain resistance.<\/li>\n<li>High or medium sheen &#8211; quick drying.<\/li>\n<li>Floors sealed with HIAC-PLUS can later be painted (consult reputable paint manufacturer for compatibility) or covered with resilient flooring, if desired.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PACKAGING<\/strong><br \/>\n3.78 Litre Pails<br \/>\n18.9 Litre Pails<br \/>\n205 Litre Drums<\/p>\n<p><strong>COVERAGE<\/strong><br \/>\n7.35 \u2013 14.7 m\u00b2 per litre (300 \u2013 600 ft.\u00b2\/U.S. gallon).<\/p>\n<p>Coverage is approximate and may vary depending on surface finish\/texture, concrete condition, climatic conditions, etc.\u00a0 Always apply to a test area first to determine actual coverage rate before full-scale application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SHELF LIFE<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen stored indoors in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 4\u00b0 &#8211; 32\u00b0 C, optimum performance and best use is obtained within two years of date of manufacture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complies with Canada VOC Concentration Limits for Architectural Coatings Regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Surface Preparation \u2026 <\/strong>Concrete surface must be clean and dry with all stains, oil, grease, dust, dirt, and curing compounds removed prior to application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method \u2026 <\/strong>Use a sprayer or short-nap roller to apply a uniform film. Avoid puddling in low areas. If puddles occur, brush or roll them out. A standard industrial-grade sprayer, such as a Chapin 19069, equipped with Viton fittings, a 1.9 LPM (0.5 GPM) nozzle, and fan spray pattern, is recommended.\u00a0 Apply over the entire surface; avoid puddling in low areas.<\/p>\n<p>For optimum performance, apply first coat at 14.7 m\u00b2\/L (600 ft.<sup>2<\/sup>\/gal.). After the first coat has thoroughly dried, apply a second coat at 14.7 m\u00b2\/L (600 ft.<sup>2<\/sup>\/gal.). NOTE: Second coat should be applied at a right angle. Drying times may be extended depending on application rate, temperature, humidity, and project conditions. Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours. Twelve hours is preferable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleanup \u2026 <\/strong>Clean tools after use with a solvent such as SEALTIGHT SOLVENT from W. R. MEADOWS, xylene, or toluene.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECAUTIONS<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>FOR OUTSIDE\/EXTERIOR APPLICATION ONLY.<\/strong>\u00a0 For industrial use only.\u00a0 HIAC-PLUS IS FLAMMABLE.\u00a0 KEEP AWAY FROM ALL OPEN FLAMES, SPARKS, IGNITION SOURCES, etc.\u00a0 Use with adequate ventilation and block all HVAC ventilation ducts which may spread product vapours &#8211; vapours are flammable and heavier than air. If product odours are objectionable, W. R. MEADOWS recommends using a water-based product, such as our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/decra-seal-wb-canada\/\">DECRA-SEAL<sub>\u2122<\/sub> W\/B<\/a> or any of the <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/ca\/#033923\">VOCOMP<sub>\u00ae<\/sub><\/a> series products. HIAC-PLUS must be applied without diluting or thinning. Surfaces treated HIAC-PLUS may become slippery under certain conditions.\u00a0 To increase slip resistance, addition of <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/sure-step-canada\/\">SURE-STEP<sub>\u2122<\/sub><\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS is recommended.<\/p>\n<p>HIAC-PLUS should not be applied in direct sunlight, or in high temperature conditions.\u00a0 These conditions cause rapid evaporation, preventing proper film formation, which may cause the dried film to peel, bubble, become hazy, and\/or turn white (blush).\u00a0\u00a0 Surface temperature of the concrete must be between 4\u00b0 &#8211; 32\u00b0 C at time of application to allow for proper film formation.<\/p>\n<p>HIAC-PLUS should not be applied to concrete exposed to excessive moisture. Entrapped moisture in a solvent-based sealer may cause the film to peel and\/or turn white (blush).\u00a0 Improper or over-application may cause the dried HIAC-PLUS film to appear hazy and\/or white.<\/p>\n<p>HIAC-PLUS is a membrane-forming sealer.\u00a0 All membrane-forming sealers may darken concrete or magnify imperfections caused by variations in the porosity and\/or finishing of the concrete.<\/p>\n<p>Concrete containing calcium chloride will remain dark longer when treated with HIAC-PLUS.
