Once applied, CRISTALLUM forms a premium-grade membrane that retains an optimum amount of water in freshly placed concrete for proper hydration of the concrete. CRISTALLUM fills a critical performance gap in curing compounds for high-end concrete applications where visual appearance during the curing period is a priority.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>CRISTALLUM can be used on both interior and exterior, vertical and horizontal applications where aesthetic is of a prime importance during the dissipation process. Paint, resilient tile, or resilient flooring may be applied on concrete cured with CRISTALLUM, once the product has dissipated and\/or has been properly removed. Because of the wide variety of coatings, paints, adhesives, and toppings available, contact the manufacturer of the flooring system or subsequent coating or topping for application approval over concrete cured with resin-based curing compounds. DO NOT THIN.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method &#8230; <\/strong>Application equipment must be clean and free of all previously used materials.\u00a0 Apply in a uniform film to horizontal surfaces as soon as the surface water disappears and the surface will not be marred by walking workmen. On vertical surfaces, apply promptly after the forms are removed. CRISTALLUM may be applied with a typical commercial hand or power sprayer, such as a Chapin 1949. Use a spray nozzle that produces a flow 1.9 LPM under .276 MPa of pressure. An even spray pattern\/application is essential to the aesthetic and final appearance of the concrete. Be mindful of clogged or partially clogged spray tips that spray CRISTALLUM in an uneven and non-uniform pattern.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Do not allow the spray nozzle to drip on fresh concrete. Drips and uneven spray patterns apply higher concentrations of the film, which may cause the cement to hydrate at different rates. Removal of the film will not change the spray patterns mirrored in the concrete surface from the cement hydrating at different rates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drying Time &#8230; <\/strong>Typically dries in approximately 1 &#8211; 2 hours, depending on jobsite conditions (temperature, % relative humidity, wind, etc.). Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours.\u00a0 Twelve hours is preferable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleanup \u2026<\/strong> Prior to drying, cleanup can be accomplished with soap and water.\u00a0 Once dried, use mineral spirits or other suitable petroleum solvent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECAUTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KEEP FROM FREEZING. Do not apply if air and\/or concrete temperature is less than 4\u00b0 C.\u00a0 Improper or over-application may increase the amount of time necessary for the film to dissipate from the surface. DO NOT MIX OR DILUTE WITH ANY OTHER PRODUCTS OR LIQUIDS.\u00a0\u00a0 Residual membrane must be thoroughly removed prior to painting, topping, or any subsequent treatment.\u00a0 Do not apply paint, resilient flooring, or any other subsequent coatings or toppings without first checking the specifications and securing approval from the manufacturer of the product being applied over concrete cured with CRISTALLUM.\u00a0 A small test application is always recommended, prior to full-scale application.
