The substrate must be saturated surface damp and free of any standing water prior to application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Crack Treatment \u2026\u00a0<\/strong>Any existing cracks must be treated separately.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mixing \u2026\u00a0<\/strong>Mix GEM-PLAST TC with 5.0 L (1.3 gal.) of water, using paddle or helix mortar mixer, or heavy duty (400 \u2013 \u00a0600 rpm) drill with a suitable mixing paddle. Gradually add dry powder into water, while mixing, and mix until the mix is smooth and lump-free.<\/p>\n<p>Adjust the water for the desirable consistency for brush application, or a little stiffer consistency for trowel application. Do not exceed 5.2 L (1.4 gal.) per bag. Do not overmix.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method \u2026\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Apply GEM-PLAST TC by trowel to a uniform specified 3 \u2013 6.35 mm (1\/8\u2033 \u2013 1\/4\u2033) thickness. If spraying, use a trowel to remove any air and obtain full contact throughout.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curing\u00a0<\/strong>\u2026 Protect against rapid drying by water misting, wet burlap, or non-solvent surface evaporation retardant for 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleanup \u2026\u00a0<\/strong>All tools must be cleaned with water immediately after use.\u00a0 Cured material can only be removed mechanically.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LIMITATIONS\/PRECAUTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do not apply GEM-PLAST TC when the temperature is expected to be below 4\u00b0 C within 48 hours, or when rain is imminent.\u00a0 Follow Hot Weather concreting precautions when applying at temperatures above 25\u00b0 C, or under sunny and windy conditions.\u00a0 Maximum applied thickness must not exceed 6.35 mm (1\/4\u2033).<\/p>\n<p><strong>HEALTH AND SAFETY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Avoid direct contact with this product, as it may cause skin and eye irritation. Utilize gloves and safety glasses to minimize direct contact. Avoid inhalation of dust. Inhalation may cause respiratory irritation and\/or lung disease (silicosis). This product contains silicon dioxide, which is classified by the IARC and NTP as probably carcinogenic to humans (IARC Group 2A). The use of NIOSH-approved respiratory protection is recommended in dusty environments. Refer to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/Msds-2K-CAN\/8771-150.pdf\">Safety Data Sheet<\/a>\u00a0for complete health and safety information.<\/p>\n<p>Keep product out of reach of children.
