After precipitation, allow a minimum of 24 hours for drying before installation.\u00a0 Install directly onto a clean and dry surface.\u00a0 Remove dust, dirt, and loose nails. Protrusions must be removed.\u00a0 Surfaces should have no voids or damaged\/unsupported areas. Repair surfaces before installing.\u00a0 Surfaces should be free of scale, rust, grease, and oil and conditioned with <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/mel-prime-canada\/\">MEL-PRIME<sub>\u2122<\/sub><\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/mel-prime-wb-canada\/\">MEL-PRIME W\/B<\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method \u2026 <\/strong>Cut AIR-SHIELD ALUMINUM FLASHING to desired length. Peel back the release paper to expose adhesive. Align the membrane and press into place with heavy hand pressure.\u00a0 Laps must be a minimum of 63.5 mm (2.5&#8243;).\u00a0 Consistent with good construction practice, install the membrane so that all laps shed water (following the shingle principle).\u00a0 The top membrane layer should go over the bottom layer. Always work from low point to high point.<\/p>\n<p>If being used with a masonry cladding, use <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/air-shield-self-adhering-air-vapour-liquid-moisture-barrier-canada\/\">AIR-SHIELD<\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS instead due to the potential long term corrosion of the aluminum facer when in contact with the alkalis in the mortar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Detailing \u2026<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/bem-canada\/\">BEM<\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS can be used for sealing exterior vertical and horizontal terminations, laps, around protrusions, and top edges.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECAUTIONS\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do not leave the product permanently exposed to sunlight. Maximum recommended exposure time is one year.\u00a0 Maximum allowable temperature is 60\u00b0 C.\u00a0 The rubberized asphaltic membrane component (soft black side) may not be compatible with most polyurethanes or silicones.\u00a0 W. R.
