Remove all loose particles or residues with a jet of compressed air, sandpaper, or hard brush. Glass, metal, and other non-porous surfaces must be free of any coatings and wiped clean with solvent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Priming \u2026<\/strong> For optimum adhesion and\/or joints over 25.4 mm (1&#8243;) in width, <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/rezi-weld-lv-canada\/\">REZI-WELD<sub>\u2122<\/sub> LV<\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS is recommended.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joint Sizes \u2026<\/strong> Proper joint design practices and application techniques must be followed for successful performance.\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/deck-o-foam-canada\/\">DECK-O-FOAM<sub>\u00ae<\/sub><\/a>, KOOL-ROD<sub>\u2122<\/sub>, or KOOL-ROD SOFT from W. R. MEADOWS may be used as a joint backing material to control sealant depth and provide proper joint configuration. For larger joints, use a non-asphalt joint filler, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/cork-expansion-joint-canada\/\">CORK EXPANSION JOINT<\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS, in the joint before sealing.<\/p>\n<p>A 2:1 width-to-depth ratio should be maintained.\u00a0 However, in no case should joint sealant depth be less than 6.4 mm (1\/4&#8243;) or exceed 12.7 mm (1\/2&#8243;).\u00a0 HS-1 SL should NOT be used in joints less than 6.4 mm (1\/4&#8243;) wide.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleanup \u2026 <\/strong>Clean tools with solvent or alcohol immediately after use.
