MEL-PRIME W\/B is designed to condition surfaces that receive waterproofing and air and vapor barrier products from W. R. MEADOWS.  Use MEL-PRIME W\/B to condition all concrete surfaces to receive applications of <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/mel-dek-canada\/\">MEL-DEK<sub>\u2122<\/sub><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/mel-rol-canada\/\">MEL-ROL<sub>\u00ae<\/sub><\/a>, and\/or <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/air-shield-self-adhering-air-vapour-liquid-moisture-barrier-canada\/\">AIR-SHIELD<sub>\u2122<\/sub><\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS. MEADOWS building envelope products.<\/li>\n<li>Non-combustible.<\/li>\n<li>Ideal for conditioning new, existing, horizontal, vertical, interior, and exterior concrete surfaces.<\/li>\n<li>VOC compliant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PACKAGING<\/strong><br \/>\n3.8 Litre (1 U.S. Gallon) Units<br \/>\n18.9 Litre (5 U.S. Gallon) Pails<\/p>\n<p><strong>COVERAGE<\/strong><br \/>\n3.69 \u2013 4.92 m\u00b2\/L (150 &#8211; 200 ft.\u00b2\/U.S. gallon)<\/p>\n<p><strong>SHELF LIFE<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen stored indoors in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 4\u00b0 &#8211; 32\u00b0 C, optimum performance and best use is obtained within six months of date of manufacture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIFICATIONS\/STANDARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complies with Canada VOC Concentration Limits for Architectural Coatings Regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Surface Preparation \u2026 <\/strong>Concrete should be clean, dry, smooth, and free of all voids.\u00a0 Repair spalled areas, fill all voids, and remove sharp protrusions.\u00a0 For additional surface preparation requirements, see instructions for applying MEL-DEK, MEL-ROL and\/or AIR-SHIELD.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mixing \u2026 <\/strong>Product requires thorough mixing prior to application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method<\/strong> \u2026 Apply MEL-PRIME W\/B in fair weather when the surface and air temperatures are 4\u00b0 C and rising.\u00a0 Apply with a sprayer, roller, or brush.\u00a0 Condition only the area to be covered with the product during the working day.\u00a0 Areas not covered with a membrane in 24 hours must be re-conditioned.\u00a0 NOTE:\u00a0 Metal surfaces do not require conditioning; however, they must be clean, dry, and free of loose paint, rust, or other contaminants.\u00a0 Please <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/tech-form\/\">contact W. R. MEADOWS Technical Services<\/a> if spraying for proper recommendations.\u00a0 Only specific sprayers will work with the product.\u00a0 Hand-pump sprayers are not recommended for application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drying Time<\/strong> \u2026 Dries in approximately one hour, depending on temperature and application rate.\u00a0 Surface must be tacky to the touch before covering.\u00a0 If the work area is very dusty, apply membrane as soon as possible after MEL-PRIME W\/B is dry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleanup<\/strong> \u2026 Application equipment can be cleaned with soap and water before the MEL-PRIME W\/B dries.\u00a0 Once dry, equipment can be cleaned with mineral spirits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECAUTIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nDo not apply MEL-PRIME W\/B when rain is imminent, on frozen or frost-covered surfaces, or when surface and air temperatures are below 4\u00b0 C.
