R. MEADOWS.\u00a0 BEM cures to form a tough, flexible membrane.\u00a0 BEM is a high quality moisture-curing elastomeric sealing material. The product is composed of Silyl-Terminated Polyether (STPE), providing strength and durability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USES<\/strong><br \/>\nBEM can be used in the forming of fillets and reinforcement at corners.\u00a0 BEM is also compatible with glass-mat exterior sheathing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>FEATURES\/BENEFITS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bonds to asphalt and concrete.<\/li>\n<li>Solvent-free; will not shrink.<\/li>\n<li>Skins over in 50 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Does not freeze.<\/li>\n<li>Cures to a tough, flexible membrane.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PACKAGING<\/strong><br \/>\n600 mL (20 Oz. Sausages (12 per Carton)<\/p>\n<p><strong>COVERAGE<\/strong><br \/>\nAs a corner reinforcement and fillet, approximately 1.1 m\/L (14 lineal ft.\/gal.).\u00a0 For a 76.2 mm (3&#8243;) flashing, approximately 1.4 m\/L (17 lineal ft.\/gal.)\u00a0 As a fillet, approximately 10.9 m\/L (135 lineal ft\/gal.).<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wrmeadows.com\/app\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Coverage Calculator<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>SHELF LIFE<\/strong><br \/>\nWhen stored indoors and in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 4\u00b0 &#8211; 21\u00b0 C, shelf life is one year from date of manufacture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Canada VOC Concentration Limits for Architectural Coatings Regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>S<\/strong><strong>urface Preparation &#8230;<\/strong> All surfaces to be covered with BEM should be clean, free of all contaminants, dry, and frost-free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method &#8230;<\/strong> Trowel on BEM to a minimum thickness of 90 mils.\u00a0 When dispensing material, make sure to cut nozzle 38.1 mm (1.5&#8243;). BEM may be applied to both primed and unprimed asphalt and concrete surfaces.\u00a0 Apply in 76.2 mm (3&#8243;) or 101.6 mm (4&#8243;) wide strips of material over terminations.\u00a0 When used as a corner reinforcement, apply a minimum of 152.4 mm (6&#8243;) wide in each direction. When used as a fillet, the face should be a minimum of 19.1 mm (\u00be&#8221;).\u00a0 At drains and protrusions, BEM should overlap the W. R. MEADOWS building envelope product membrane at a minimum of 50.8 mm (2&#8243;) and should extend 152.4 mm (6&#8243;) above the surface or to the top of the wearing course.<\/p>\n<p>If applying fresh material over the cured membrane, the cured membrane should be lightly washed and wiped with alcohol.\u00a0 Allow for a few minutes to dry and trowel on the fresh material.<\/p>\n<p>BEM is also compatible with AIR-SHIELD<sub>\u2122<\/sub> products from W. R. MEADOWS for joint detailing in exterior sheathing panels.
