Fill all voids and remove sharp protrusions. When used on concrete, concrete should be cured at least 72 hours.\u00a0 For additional substrate surface preparation requirements, see instructions for applying MEL-ROL, PRECON, MEL-DEK, and\/or AIR-SHIELD.<\/p>\n<p><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Metal surfaces must also be clean, dry, and free of loose paint, rust, or other contaminants.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method <\/strong><strong>&#8230;<\/strong> Apply MEL-PRIME with a roller or brush at a coverage rate of 6.14 &#8211; 7.37 m<sup>2<\/sup>\/L (250 &#8211; 300 ft.<sup>2<\/sup>\/gal.)\u00a0 Apply only to the area to be covered with the membrane during the working day. Areas not covered with a membrane in 24 hours must be re-applied. \u00a0MEL-PRIME should be used at temperatures of -12\u00b0 C and above for maximum adhesion.\u00a0 Protect the adhesive from dust, dirt, or any other contaminants that will cause a decrease in adhesion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>D<\/strong><strong>rying Time <\/strong><strong><em>&#8230;<\/em><\/strong> Refer to dry time chart below for guidance. Temperatures above 35 \u00b0C will only result in a nominal decrease in dry time. The dry time for adhesives is defined as the point at which the surface becomes sticky\/tacky.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C<\/strong><strong>leanup <\/strong><strong>&#8230;<\/strong> MEL-PRIME may be cleaned with mineral spirits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>LIMITATIONS\/PRECAUTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do not apply MEL-PRIME when rain is imminent, or on damp or frost-covered surfaces.
