VOCOMP-25 resists yellowing from ultraviolet exposure and provides a durable, long-lasting finish that offers improved resistance to chemicals, petroleum, and abrasives.<\/p>\n<p>VOCOMP-25 appears milky white in the container and, when first applied, leaves a bluish cast on the concrete for easy visual coverage.\u00a0 VOCOMP-25 dries clear to provide a transparent sheen finish.\u00a0 This sheen can be controlled by the number of coats applied.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>VOCOMP-25 may be used wherever a medium-to-high sheen is desired to bring out the natural beauty of concrete without discolouring, checking, or peeling.\u00a0 It may be applied to simultaneously cure, seal, and dustproof new, old, interior, exterior, horizontal, and vertical concrete surfaces.\u00a0 VOCOMP-25 is ideal for curing, sealing, and dustproofing driveways, sidewalks, patios, swimming pool areas, and commercial and industrial floors. Drums<\/p>\n<p><strong>COVERAGE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Broomed surface:<br \/>\nApproximately 7.35 m<sup>2<\/sup>\/L<br \/>\n(300 ft.<sup>2<\/sup>\/gal.)<\/p>\n<p>Trowelled Surface:<br \/>\nApproximately 12.26 m<sup>2<\/sup>\/L<br \/>\n(500 ft.<sup>2<\/sup>\/gal.)<\/p>\n<p>Coverage is approximate and may vary depending on surface finish\/texture, concrete condition, climatic conditions, etc. Always apply to a test area first to determine actual coverage rate before full-scale application.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SHELF LIFE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When stored indoors in original, unopened containers at temperatures between 4\u00b0 &#8211; 32\u00b0 C, optimum performance and best use is obtained within one year of date of manufacture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SPECIFICATIONS\/STANDARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AASHTO M 148, Type 1, Class A &amp; B<\/li>\n<li>ASTM C309, Type 1, Class A &amp; B<\/li>\n<li>ASTM C1315, Type 1, Class A<\/li>\n<li>Tested per CDPH\/EHLB Standard Method V1.2-2017 Emission Testing Method (Report available upon request)<\/li>\n<li>Canada VOC Concentration Limits for Architectural Coatings Regulations<\/li>\n<li>Ministry of Transportation, Quebec<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>APPLICATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Surface Preparation \u2026<\/strong> Old Concrete:\u00a0 Surface preparation is extremely important.\u00a0 Concrete must always be clean and dry, with all stains, oil, grease, dust, and dirt removed prior to application.\u00a0 If not, they will be amplified by the transparent sheen finish.\u00a0 CAUTION:\u00a0 If a liquid compound other than <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/vocomp-20-canada\/\">VOCOMP-20<\/a>, VOCOMP-25, or <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/vocomp-30-canada\/\">VOCOMP-30<\/a> has been used, do not apply VOCOMP-25 until all traces of the compound have been completely removed and the surface is clean and dry.<\/p>\n<p>New Concrete: Apply VOCOMP-25 when the surface water has disappeared and the concrete surface will not be marred by walking workers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mixing \u2026 <\/strong>For optimum performance, gentle mixing or agitation is recommended.\u00a0 CAUTION:\u00a0 DO NOT MIX EXCESSIVELY.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method \u2026 <\/strong>A typical industrial sprayer, such as a Chapin 1949, and a nozzle that produces a flow of 0.1 GPM (0.379 LPM) is recommended.<\/p>\n<p>Spray on in a fine, fog pattern without spurts and dribbles to form a thin, continuous film. AVOID PUDDLING in low areas.\u00a0 If puddles occur, brush or roll them out. For added protection and a greater sheen on new or old concrete, two coats of VOCOMP-25 may be applied at right angles. Additional coats of VOCOMP-25 may be applied after the first coat has thoroughly dried.\u00a0\u00a0 VOCOMP-25 can also be applied using a lint-free roller or lambs wool applicator.\u00a0 Care should be taken to maintain a wet-edge during application to prevent roller marks in dried film.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drying Time \u2026 <\/strong>VOCOMP-25 dries quickly.\u00a0 Drying times may be extended, depending on application rate, temperature, humidity, and project conditions.\u00a0 Restrict foot traffic for at least four hours.\u00a0 Twelve hours is preferable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleanup <\/strong><em>\u2026 <\/em>While VOCOMP-25 is still wet, equipment may be cleaned with soap and water.\u00a0 Once dried, the material may be removed with a solvent, such as xylene or toluene.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECAUTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KEEP FROM FREEZING.\u00a0 Do not dilute.\u00a0 Do not apply VOCOMP-25 when air, material, and surface temperatures are expected to fall below 4\u00b0 C within four hours of completed application.\u00a0 DO NOT MIX WATER-BASED COMPOUNDS WITH ANY COMPOUND CONTAINING SOLVENT.<\/p>\n<p>VOCOMP-25 may be applied to coloured concrete, but mottling may occur.\u00a0 Do not use on dense or non-porous surfaces, i.e., brick, stone, etc.<\/p>\n<p>For any alternate adhesion specifications or requirements besides ASTM C1315, Section 8.8, secure the approval of the manufacturer of any paint, coating, carpet, adhesive, resilient flooring, floor topping, etc. (any type\/composition of subsequent floor treatment) that will be applied over VOCOMP-25. Obtain this approval before applying the product over concrete previously applied with VOCOMP-25.<\/p>\n<p>Caution should be taken when applying to dense surfaces.\u00a0 Over-application or buildup of the film may result in the film being scratched by pallets or objects being dragged across it.\u00a0 In areas intended for heavy forklift traffic, consider <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/med-cure-canada\/\">MED-CURE<sub>\u2122<\/sub><\/a> and\/or the <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/liqui-hard-canada\/\">LIQUI-HARD<sub>\u00ae<\/sub><\/a> products from W. R.
