The product will withstand temperature changes and will not crack under normal expansion and contraction.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>501 SEALMASTIC solvent-type dampproofing is ideal for reducing dampness and moisture infiltration through foundation walls, parapets, fire walls, tanks, culverts, cisterns, and bridge abutments. The product is also applicable for stone-backing, above-grade cavity wall applications, and below-grade masonry wall dampproofing. 501 SEALMASTIC also helps to minimize internal structural damage from mildew and mould. Use a wire brush, sandblast, or other methods in keeping with good construction practices. Before product application, fill voids, cracks, and holes in concrete with cement mortar and allow to dry. At temperatures below -20\u02da C, use a prime-coat of <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/600-asphalt-primer\/\">600 ASPHALT PRIMER<\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS, applied at a minimum rate of 4.1 m<sup>2<\/sup>\/L (200 ft.<sup>2<\/sup>\/U.S. gal.). Apply at least one coat of 501 SEALMASTIC at a minimum rate of 0.39 &#8211; 0.74 m<sup>2<\/sup>\/L (16 &#8211; 30 ft.<sup>2<\/sup>\/gal.).\u00a0 Do not apply in rain or when rain is threatening.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method \u2026<\/strong> Apply 501 SEALMASTIC with suitable spray equipment.\u00a0 Contact <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/tech-form\/\">W. R. MEADOWS technical services<\/a> for more information on spray equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Backfilling<\/strong> \u2026 Backfilling should be done within 24 to 48 hours after application. Protect cured application from damage by using <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/protection-course-vibraflex-waterproofing-protection-board-canada\/\">PROTECTION COURSE (VIBRAFLEX<sub>\u00ae<\/sub> PC)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/mel-drain-canada\/\">MEL-DRAIN<sub>\u2122<\/sub><\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS. Prolonged exposure to ultraviolet sunrays should be minimized.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cleanup<\/strong> \u2026 While still wet, material may be removed with mineral spirits. Once dried, the material can be removed with kerosene or petroleum naptha.
