For exceptionally thick sections, [10 cm (4&#8243;) and over] 803 CONSTRUCTION GROUT &#8211; SR should be cut 50% with pea gravel or 9.5 cm (3\/8&#8243;) crushed stone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SHELF LIFE<\/strong><br \/>\nOne year from date of manufacture when stored indoors on pallets in a dry, cool area. All freestanding water should be blown clear just prior to placing grout.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Method \u2026 <\/strong>The mix should contain only enough water to form a cohesive ball when squeezed tightly in the hand.\u00a0 Mixing should be done by hand using a shovel and wheelbarrow or mortar box.\u00a0 Water should be sprinkled over the dry material and turned into the mix thoroughly using a shovel. See water mix rations above.\u00a0 The mixed grout must be rammed in place with a metal or hardwood tool. Discard mixed grout not rammed in place within one hour of initial preparation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Extending \u2026 <\/strong>For exceptionally thick sections [4&#8243; (101.6 mm) and over], 803 CONSTRUCTION GROUT &#8211; SR\u00a0 should be cut 50% with pea gravel or 9.5 mm (3\/8&#8243;) crushed stone.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curing \u2026 <\/strong>Cure 803 CONSTRUCTION GROUT \u2013 SR immediately following application using a suitable curing compound from W. R. MEADOWS, or in accordance with ACI 308.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/1100-clear-canada\/\">1100<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/1220-white-pigmented-concrete-curing-compound\/\">1220-WHITE<\/a>, CS-309<sub>\u2122<\/sub> series, or <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/vocomp-25-concrete-curing-and-sealing-compound-canada\/\">VOCOMP<sub>\u00ae<\/sub>-25<\/a> from W. R. MEADOWS are recommended. When conditions exist for rapid early water loss, the use of <a href=\"https:\/\/can.wrmeadows.com\/en-ca\/evapre-canada\/\">EVAPRE<sub>\u2122<\/sub><\/a>, an evaporation retarder from W. R. MEADOWS, is also recommended.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECAUTIONS\u00a0 <\/strong><br \/>\nCompressive strength will vary with the amount of mixing water used and with ambient temperatures during curing.\u00a0 Specimens for compressive strength should be taken in 50.8 mm (2&#8243;) brass cube molds under total confinement and according to CRD-C 621 procedures.\u00a0 Less flowable consistencies will exhibit high strengths.
